Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Damian Kutasinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Bates! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kutasinski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Horrible takedown by Kutasinski or perhaps it was just good defense by Bates which made him look bad. Kutasinski on the wrong end of a nice jab. Bates forces Kutasinski back against the cage and clinches. Kutasinski managing to block the knees to the body from Bates.

Bates controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bates pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kutasinski is keeping the position for now. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kutasinski clinches up against the cage. Kutasinski comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Bates misses with a punch on the inside.
Kutasinski has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bates avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bates breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bates throws a push kick but Kutasinski slaps the foot to one side. Kutasinski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bates counters with a nice body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damian Kutasinski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kutasinski is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bates will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Damian Kutasinski has been cut. Bates connects with a solid leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bates pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kutasinski tumbling to the mat - Bates dives into Kutasinski's guard. Bates tries to free his leg and advance position but Kutasinski is retaining full guard. Kutasinski manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kutasinski throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bates really wants to buck Kutasinski off and get back to his feet. Bates tries to reverse the position but Kutasinski maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kutasinski tries for a takedown but Bates circles away easily and Bates counters with a left to the body. Chris Bates seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bates dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bates throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Bates throws a sloppy head kick and Kutasinski moves out of range easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Bates pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kutasinski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bates sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kutasinski somewhat. Bates pushes Kutasinski up against the cage in a clinch. Bates has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Bates escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bates lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kutasinski circles away quickly and effectively. Bates tries a head kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kutasinski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kutasinski wants it to stay on the feet. Kutasinski fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damian Kutasinski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kutasinski tries to keep at a distance but Bates has taken the fight into the clinch. Kutasinski has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bates is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A frustrated look appears on Bates's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kutasinski has Bates pressed against the cage, preventing Bates from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kutasinski is pressed up against the cage. Bates has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kutasinski down to the mat. Kutasinski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A right-left combo lands from Bates. Kutasinski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bates sprawls well. Bates wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kutasinski gets slowly back to his feet. Kutasinski avoids the head kick by Bates.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bates throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kutasinski avoids a kick to the body.
Bates clinches. Bates wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kutasinski has him pressed against the cage. Kutasinski ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kutasinski no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Bates wants to control from the top but Kutasinski keeps moving. Kutasinski keeping full guard, as Bates tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kutasinski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bates defends well. Kutasinski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bates really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kutasinski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bates tries to free his leg and advance position but Kutasinski is retaining full guard. Bates won't allow Kutasinski to sweep him here. Bates has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kutasinski keeping moving, preventing Bates from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kutasinski looking to control but Bates passes into half guard.

Bates is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Bates breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Chris Bates is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Bates moves into the clinch successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Bates comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bates has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
