Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Caetano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carlos Caetano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jared Hart!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caetano tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hart swivels and escapes.
Hart uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Caetano.
Caetano misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Caetano shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hart as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Caetano. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Caetano drives through and clinches with Hart against the cage.
Caetano jumps guard but Hart stands there with Caetano around his waist. Caetano gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Caetano manages to break the clinch.
Caetano shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hart sprawls well. Hart wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Caetano gets slowly back to his feet.

Caetano fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hart avoids it really well and circles away.
Caetano tries for a takedown but Hart sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Hart gets tackled into the cage by Caetano. Caetano maintains the clinch.
Caetano tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Caetano tries to land a knee to the head but Hart blocks with his arms.

Hart prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hart is trying to force a seperation but Caetano has the dominant position.
Caetano tries to pull guard but Hart won't allow it.
Caetano is trying to pull guard but Hart has him pressed against the cage.
Hart is pressed up against the cage. Caetano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hart down to the mat. Hart avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hart misses with a double jab.

Hart tries to keep at a distance but Caetano has taken the fight into the clinch.
Caetano could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Caetano keeps control of Hart as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Hart tries to circle away but Caetano has him pinned against the cage.
Hart tries to break the clinch but Caetano is controlling the position.

Caetano jumps guard and drags Hart to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hart wanted to stand there but Caetano had control of the position.
Hart must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Caetano is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hart is aware though and is defending well.
Caetano might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Caetano has his foot on Hart's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hart works his way back into a safe position though.

Caetano pushes Hart off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Caetano clinches up with Hart and pushes him back against the cage.
Hart has had enough of the clinch but Caetano keeps him there for the moment.
Caetano tries to score a body lock takedown but Hart shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Caetano wants a takedown.
Caetano is working for takedown but Hart is calmly controlling the position for now.
Caetano is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hart wants to break free but Caetano has control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hart slips a jab and a cross from Caetano.
Caetano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Caetano tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hart sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Caetano somewhat.
Carlos Caetano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Caetano jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hart walks away with a smile on his face. Caetano gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Caetano shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hart defends it nicely.
Hart misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Caetano misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee is keeping an eye on Caetano - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Caetano pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hart stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hart wants it to stay on the feet.
Caetano will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hart misses with a series of wild punches.

Caetano's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Horrible takedown by Caetano or perhaps it was just good defense by Hart which made him look bad.

Caetano looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hart is fending him off so far but Caetano persists. Nope, Hart circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlos Caetano.
Well Caetano has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
