Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Fray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Bob! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bob lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sloppy strikes from Bob. Those never looked like landing. Bob throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Fray is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bob sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fray uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bob. Fray showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bob.
Fray fails to land the takedown. Fray gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bob counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Fray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fray tries to bum rush Bob with a series of wild strikes but Bob uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bob misses with a wild combination.
Bob misses with a hook. Bob throws a series of punches but Fray avoids them all with ease. Bob stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bob wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob throws a nice looking combination but Fray bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fray misses with a body shot.
Bob throws a hook but Fray blocks it. A punch combination from Bob misses. Fray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bob swivels and escapes. Fray tries for a takedown but Bob sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bob lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fray circles away quickly and effectively. Bob connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Bob throws a series of punches but Fray moves out of range. Bob fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fray fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A punch combination from Bob misses. Bob tests Fray's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fray is rocked! Bob misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oh Fray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bob lands a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Fray loses concentration momentarily and Bob pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Fray crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Bob finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
