And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Melendez with that takedown attempt.
John is looking to clinch.
Melendez shoots in but John avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Melendez misses with a takedown attempt - John sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damien Melendez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Melendez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? John is fending him off so far but Melendez persists. Nope, John circles away and we're back to standing.
Melendez swats away the attempt to clinch by John.
John moves into range and clinches up with Melendez.

Melendez has his feet on John's thighs here. He's pushed John off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! John screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
