The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malapitan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Devaney tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malapitan was well out of range. Poor timing from Devaney.
Devaney misses with a straight left.
Devaney throws a nice looking combination but Malapitan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Malapitan dives in and scores a takedown into Devaney's guard.
Malapitan throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malapitan wants to control from the top but Devaney keeps moving.
Devaney utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Malapitan cracks Devaney with a solid left hand.

Malapitan drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Malapitan as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Devaney screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Malapitan! Nice submission victory there!
