Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bull Dozer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Finbar McTeague!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dozer with a lazy takedown attempt

and McTeague counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dozer won't be happy with that.
Dozer is looking to work his way out of this bad position but McTeague is controlling him well.
McTeague controls the position from side control.
Dozer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McTeague on the ground.

McTeague stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Dozer looks to clinch

so McTeague counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!

McTeague stands and steps away. Dozer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
McTeague throws a right hand that Dozer ducks under and follows up with a left that Dozer also avoids with ease.

McTeague fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dozer sprawls well initially but McTeague persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McTeague wants to pass to mount but Dozer is defending the position.
Dozer tries to get to full guard but McTeague has control of the leg.

McTeague is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

McTeague looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Dozer makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dozer tries to clinch there but McTeague circles away.

McTeague rushes Dozer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

McTeague escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dozer is looking to clinch.

McTeague darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
McTeague content to control rather than advance.

Dozer looking for submissions off his back.
Dozer trying to control but McTeague postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dozer is trying to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McTeague is taking a breather. Dozer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McTeague winds up and cracks Dozer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
McTeague controlling the action here.
Dozer wants to get back to full guard.
McTeague keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Finbar McTeague hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dozer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dozer is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McTeague in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Finbar McTeague dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dozer tries to clinch up but McTeague circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice takedown defense from Dozer. No joy for McTeague on that attempt.
Dozer leaves McTeague with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dozer.
Dozer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dozer shoots in looking for a takedown but McTeague manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dozer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bull Dozer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McTeague manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dozer on his heels. He'll look to pass Dozer's guard now, I'm sure.

Dozer has McTeague pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dozer pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending McTeague tumbling to the mat - Dozer dives into McTeague's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McTeague can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Finbar McTeague has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Horrible takedown by McTeague or perhaps it was just good defense by Dozer which made him look bad.
McTeague throws a head kick but Dozer moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McTeague looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

McTeague is working for a kimura but Dozer is defending it quite comfortably.

McTeague is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dozer defends it well.

Finbar McTeague showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

McTeague closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dozer's guard.

Dozer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McTeague can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McTeague has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

McTeague stands up and beckons Dozer to his feet.

Finbar McTeague is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McTeague drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Well McTeague has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
