Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Curt Leocadio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Horton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curt Leocadio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Horton! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leocadio throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Horton has a takedown stuffed. A momentary lapse in concentration from Leocadio enables Horton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Leocadio manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Horton sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Leocadio's guard. Horton wants to free his trapped foot but Leocadio is holding on for dear life with his legs. Horton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Leocadio is defending against the submission attempts here by Horton.
Horton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Leocadio pushes Horton off looking to stand but Horton dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horton decides to stand up. Horton has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Horton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Leocadio cracks Horton with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Horton walks into a left hand. Leocadio throws a right and a left that both miss. No luck with that takedown attempt from Horton. Curt Leocadio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Horton. Horton scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Horton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leocadio is just riding it out for now. Horton eventually gives up the hold. Horton prevents Leocadio from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leocadio is staying active underneath Horton, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Horton works his way into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Horton has an Americana. Leocadio didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Horton is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Horton hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tim Horton!
