Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kerry Mcgee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcgee has chosen Superman's Worst Nightmare as his entrance music. Sterling Archer has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sterling Archer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kerry Mcgee! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcgee misses with a body kick. Mcgee looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Mcgee doesn't succeed with the takedown and Archer counters with a lovely straight right hand! Some wild striking there from Archer.
Archer doesn't manage to clinch there - Mcgee circles away.
Archer tries to clinch but Mcgee is having none of it. Archer is looking to clinch. Mcgee shoots in for a double leg but Archer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Archer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mcgee on his heels. He'll look to pass Mcgee's guard now, I'm sure. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Archer trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcgee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Archer wants to pass the guard but Mcgee is keeping the position. Archer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Archer stops Mcgee from standing up. Mcgee has momentary wrist control but Archer slips an elbow through the middle. Archer stands and steps away. Mcgee gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Archer fails with an attempt to clinch.

Archer catches Mcgee with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Archer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcgee swats him away and circles back towards the center. Archer misses with the combination.
Mcgee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Archer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mcgee back to the cage. Archer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Archer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Archer moves in looking to clinch but Mcgee pushes him off. Archer doesn't manage to clinch there - Mcgee circles away.
Archer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mcgee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Archer tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcgee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mcgee takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Archer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mcgee. Archer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mcgee to the ground. Archer is now in Mcgee's guard. Mcgee keeping moving, preventing Archer from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sterling Archer. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Archer. Archer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Archer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Archer tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcgee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sterling Archer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Archer tries to clinch up but Mcgee circles away and keeps his distance. Archer wants to clinch. Mcgee takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Archer is on top in guard.
Archer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mcgee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Archer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Archer postures up in Mcgee's guard and throws a big left but Mcgee blocks it. Archer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Archer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mcgee is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Archer, into his guard. Mcgee trying to control the position from guard on top but Archer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Archer working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Archer passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mcgee! Archer jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mcgee manages to avoid the submission attempt. Archer has hold of Mcgee's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Mcgee seems comfortable defending it but Archer has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Mcgee is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Mcgee is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Archer couldn't care less - he's delighted!
