Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh JC (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Gonzaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JC comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb Of God - Laid To Rest. Gordon Gonzaga has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JC tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gonzaga swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gonzaga misses the jab.
Gonzaga swings for the body but JC moves out of range.
JC doesn't manage to clinch there - Gonzaga circles away.
Gonzaga will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gonzaga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gonzaga throws a jab but it's blocked by JC.
JC takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
JC feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

JC drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gonzaga looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gonzaga looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gonzaga!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

JC doesn't manage to clinch there - Gonzaga circles away.

and Gonzaga counters with a nice uppercut.
