Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Da Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Rash!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rash shoots in for a takedown but Da Silva shows good takedown defense.
Da Silva is looking to clinch but Rash is avoiding it.
Rash takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fight stays on the outside here - Da Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Da Silva scores with a head kick. Rash tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rash has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rash there as he acknowledges the shot.
Rash misses with a body shot
and Da Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
Rash misses the shot to the body.
Da Silva throws an overhand right that lands on Rash's shoulder, as Rash tries to avoid the shot.
Rash finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Rash takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Rash looks to land a combination but Da Silva avoids it well.

Rash wants to work for an arm triangle but Da Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Rash is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Da Silva is hurt! He's hurt bad - Rash fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Da Silva from any more punishment! Congratulations to Rash! Great finish!
