Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koekemoer goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kerns moves out of range as Koekemoer throws a body kick.
Koekemoer throws a series of punches but Kerns avoids them all with ease.
Koekemoer tries a head kick but it misses.
Koekemoer finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Koekemoer shoots and misses
and Kerns counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Koekemoer takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kerns prevents Koekemoer from escaping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koekemoer trying to hold on to Kerns's head to control him but Kerns postures up.
Kerns takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Kerns frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kerns cracks Koekemoer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kerns lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Koekemoer is rocked!
