Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fallen Heroes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kogata Munoz! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heroes tries to score with a low kick but Munoz moves his leg out of the way. Heroes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Munoz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Heroes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Munoz to the mat! Munoz manages to get full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Heroes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Munoz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Munoz has escaped and now he's on top! Munoz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Munoz tries to free his leg and advance position but Heroes is retaining full guard. Heroes on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Heroes tries to get out of the position. Munoz forces his way into half guard. Munoz thows a huge punch but Heroes dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Munoz passes to full mount! Munoz unloading with bombs!
That's one minute gone in the round. Munoz with good strikes from the mount here! Munoz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Heroes can't escape the position.
Munoz is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Heroes is surviving well by controlling Munoz's body position as best he can. Munoz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Heroes looks a forlorn figure.
Heroes is looking to improve his position but Munoz isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munoz landing strikes, looking to finish!
It looks like Fallen Heroes has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Munoz looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Heroes is rocked!
Fallen Heroes's cut is getting worse. Munoz postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Heroes badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Munoz around the waist but Munoz pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Munoz is the winner by TKO! Munoz jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kogata Munoz!
