16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew Rock! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bastiat shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rock defends it nicely. Rock throws a sloppy head kick and Bastiat moves out of range easily. Rock misses with a head kick.
Rock scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Frederic Bastiat has been cut. Bastiat takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Rock connects with an inside leg kick. Rock misses with a two punch combination.
Rock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rock throws a right hand that Bastiat ducks under and follows up with a left that Bastiat also avoids with ease. Bastiat fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rock avoids it really well and circles away. Rock misses with an attempted mid kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bastiat shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bastiat is trying to work for a kimura but Rock is defending well.

Rock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bastiat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rock pushes Bastiat off looking to stand but Bastiat dives back in and keeps control.
