The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shrude stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lucas moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Shrude thuds a left hand into Lucas's body.
Decent striking displayed by Shrude there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lucas looks to score with a jab to the body but Shrude is just out of range.
Lucas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dwighd Shrude seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shrude lands with a nice combination. Lucas backs away looking to recover.
Shrude swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lucas throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Lucas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lucas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shrude connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Shrude tries to clinch up.
Lucas takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Shrude is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Shrude throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Shrude sends Lucas crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shrude is motioning to the referee to let Lucas up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Lucas is rocked!
Shrude walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Lucas drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Shrude swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Lucas's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
