Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Pede (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Triton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Triton will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Pede!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Triton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pede fails with the takedown
and Triton counters with a nice uppercut.

Triton darts in and clinches Pede up against the cage.

Triton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pede tries to keep at a distance but Triton has taken the fight into the clinch.
Pede has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Triton after a bit of a struggle.

Triton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Pede shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Triton counters with a takedown into side control.

Pede is working for takedown but Triton is calmly controlling the position for now.

and Triton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Triton wants to pass the guard but Pede is keeping the position.

Triton postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pede is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Triton, into his guard.

Pede stands and throws Triton's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Triton is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pede off and has taken his back!
Triton tries to keep control of the position but Pede is staying busy.

Triton goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Pede escapes and is now in half guard on top.

Pede is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Triton sees it coming and defends easily.

Triton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pede's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pede's back!

Triton is not going to allow Pede to sit and survive in this position.

Triton is stalling here. Pede is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Triton seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pede has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Triton is trying to control Pede's posture but Pede avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pede goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Triton has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pede but great work by Triton.
Pede is letting Triton control him for a moment.

John Triton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Triton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
