And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ethan Clayton!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clayton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grenadier swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Clayton on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Ethan Clayton has been cut.
A good leg kick by Clayton.
Clayton moves away from the strike by Grenadier.
Clayton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Grenadier.
Clayton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Clayton is looking to clinch but Grenadier is avoiding it.
Clayton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Grenadier manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ethan Clayton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clayton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grenadier tries to avoid it but Clayton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grenadier to the ground. Grenadier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Grenadier.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grenadier throws a looping overhand right but Clayton ducks down to avoid it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Clayton. That's going to slow Grenadier down.

Clayton keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Grenadier looks to land a left hand but Clayton moved out of range nicely.

and Clayton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Grenadier throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grenadier avoids the body shot from Clayton.
Clayton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Clayton is looking to chop away at Grenadier's legs.

Clayton closes the distance and clinches up with Grenadier, looking for a takedown. Clayton pushes Grenadier against the cage but Grenadier circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Panzer Grenadier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ethan Clayton.
Clayton takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clayton throws a right and a left that Grenadier avoids nicely.
Clayton shoots for a double leg takedown but Grenadier sprawls well. He's pushed Clayton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Clayton finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Grenadier lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Grenadier feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Clayton's calf.
Grenadier lunges at Clayton with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Clayton's hand.
That has opened up Ethan Clayton's cut even more.
Grenadier walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Clayton checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Good exchange - Grenadier coming out on top.

Clayton shoots for a takedown but Grenadier saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Grenadier throws a quick inside leg kick.
Grenadier connects with a single shot there.
The cut above Ethan Clayton's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Clayton misses with a kick to the body
and Grenadier counters with a huge left! Clayton is in big trouble! He's backing up but Grenadier isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Clayton from any more damage. A dominating finish by Grenadier!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Panzer Grenadier!

A very excited looking Panzer Grenadier made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
