Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rey Corrales!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang shoots in for a double leg but Corrales sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kang misses with the combination.
Kang throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Corrales.
Kang swinging wilding here.
Kang throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Corrales throws a series of strikes that have Kang backpedaling.


It looks like Demian Kang has been cut.

and Corrales counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.


Kang is rocked!
Corrales content to stall in guard here.
Kang keeping moving, preventing Corrales from controlling successfully.
Corrales would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Corrales stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kang swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corrales advances position into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kang is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Corrales off and has taken his back!

Corrales tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corrales is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kang wants to take his opponent's back but Corrales doesn't allow it.

Kang has control of Corrales's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Corrales regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kang is breathing heavily.
Corrales looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.

Corrales really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Corrales stops Kang from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Corrales wants to control but Kang is having none of it.
Corrales working to try and regain half guard.

Kang is working for a guillotine from mount but Corrales frees his head quite easily.
Kang trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Corrales is trying desperately to improve position.

Kang working for a submission but Corrales is keeping him at bay.

Kang goes for an armbar but Corrales turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Corrales.

Kang not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kang is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kang has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Corrales is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kang.
Kang is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Corrales's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Kang wants to control but Corrales is keeping busy.
Kang is staying active underneath Corrales, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rey Corrales dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Demian Kang's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kang misses with a takedown

and Corrales counters by moving into the clinch.

Corrales gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kang regains guard.
Kang is trying to keep Corrales in close.

Kang is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kang is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Corrales has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kang is proving hard to escape from.
Kang wants to sweep here but Corrales controlling him for the moment.

Corrales avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kang has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Corrales should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kang has tightened it up now! Corrales should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
