Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Chegod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santiago scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Chegod really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Chegod fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Santiago manages to avoid it.

A nice leg kick lands there from Chegod.
Chegod gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Santiago tries to bum rush Chegod with a series of wild strikes but Chegod uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chegod has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Santiago finds it's way round the side to connect with Chegod's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Raul Santiago showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Santiago goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Chegod is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Raul Santiago is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Chegod might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Chegod will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Raul Santiago comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Santiago has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
