Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago De Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by run this town. De Jesus has chosen El Legado-Crack Family as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Anderson Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anderson Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Santiago De Jesus! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Jesus tries to clinch up. Silva jabbing away but nothing is landing. De Jesus is looking to clinch. De Jesus has taken the fight to the clinch.

Silva is trying to push De Jesus away but De Jesus has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Silva is working for takedown but De Jesus is calmly controlling the position for now. De Jesus is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Silva is keeping busy. Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. De Jesus on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Silva throws a head kick that misses and De Jesus counters with a body kick that stops Silva in his tracks momentarily. Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but De Jesus circles away quickly and effectively. Silva throws a head kick but De Jesus moves out of range.

De Jesus tries to land knees in the clinch but Silva avoids the damage to the body. De Jesus looking to slow down the pace here. Silva on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Silva tried to land a shot to the body but connects with De Jesus's elbow. De Jesus blocks a body shot from Silva. De Jesus is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Silva is defending well for now.

Silva is working for takedown but De Jesus is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Santiago De Jesus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva throws a head kick that misses. Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
De Jesus is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! De Jesus scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. De Jesus throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. De Jesus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center. De Jesus moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. De Jesus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it. De Jesus punishes Silva's body with a nice straight punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Santiago De Jesus dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Silva is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Silva is looking to take this one to the mat. De Jesus keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Silva's efforts to push away. De Jesus throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Silva blocks it with crossed arms. De Jesus lands a good knee to the midsection. Silva won't want to take too many of those. De Jesus stalling in the clinch but Silva improves position. De Jesus throws an elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Jesus is trying to maintain a safe position but Silva gets an underhook and turns De Jesus into the cage. De Jesus taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

It looks like Anderson Silva has been cut. Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Silva with an attempt at a knee that misses.
With the fighters up against the cage, Silva throws an elbow but misses. De Jesus misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Silva.
De Jesus misses with an elbow over the top. Silva turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Silva manages to end up in side control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Silva fails to land a wild elbow strike.
De Jesus is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silva working the ground and pound but De Jesus is defending the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Silva staying calm. Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva cracks De Jesus with a big right hand but De Jesus just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Silva swings around for an armbar but De Jesus sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Silva's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. De Jesus wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De Jesus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Silva is tightening it up a little... De Jesus has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! De Jesus reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! De Jesus taps out! Nice BJJ there by Silva!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Anderson Silva! In his post fight interview, Anderson Silva started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
