Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ac Res (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Shady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ac Res!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Slim Shady!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shady throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Res tries a body shot but Shady blocks it.
Shady is trying to maintain a safe position but Res gets an underhook and turns Shady into the cage.
Shady tries to break free but Res pushes him back against the cage.
Shady is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Res to keep the fight standing.
Res breaks the clinch.
Res tries for a takedown but Shady sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shady misses with a few strikes there.
Shady misses with a double jab.
Shady misses with a series of wild punches.
Res slips a jab and a cross from Shady.
Res throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shady tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Res is in Shady's guard.
Res is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Res trying to control but Shady is working from the bottom.
Res working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shady not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Res is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We're going to have a standup here because Ac Res wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Shady misses with a series of wild punches.
Res dodges the punch combination from Shady.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shady is trying to push Res away but Res has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Shady fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Shady working hard to break the clinch.
Shady wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Shady is fighting off a takedown attempt but Res is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Shady to the mat. Shady regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Res loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Res wants to control from the top but Shady keeps moving.
Res drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shady looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shady looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shady!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Res is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shady's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Res is looking to control Shady's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Res avoid being mounted?
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Res looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Res actively working from the bottom here.
Res makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Res.
Res working for a triangle but Shady defends it easily.
Shady got a little sloppy there for a moment and Res has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shady has managed to get both his arms back between Res's legs - danger averted.
Res has his foot on Shady's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shady works his way back into a safe position though.
Res wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Res is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shady defends well.
Res working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shady doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shady manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Shady tries to free his leg and advance position but Res is retaining full guard.
Shady must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shady passes Res's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Shady is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Res has managed to free his arm - good work.
Res is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shady pulls his head out easily.
Shady is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Res!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Res is desperately trying to improve his position but Shady has a good base and remains in mount.
Shady is landing with some decent strikes but Res is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ac Res dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Res will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Shady looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Shady throws a wild body kick that Res sees coming a mile off.
Res showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shady.
Shady pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Res back to the cage. Shady follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Res takes a jab right on the kisser.
Shady scores with a three punch combo!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Res shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Res wants to work for an arm triangle but Shady is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Res is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Shady is defending well though. Res let's go of the attempt for now.

Shady won't enjoy being in this position. Res looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Shady is tapping - it's over boys! Res picks up the submission victory!
