The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanco misses with a body shot.
Blanco tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nelson was well out of range. Poor timing from Blanco.

Nelson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Blancos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Reynold Blanco has been cut.
Nelson throws a lazy right hand but Blanco sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nelson misses with a hook.
Blanco lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nelson backs up against the cage.
A low kick from Blanco is predictable there
and Nelson counters with a straight right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blanco throws a big shot that misses.
Blanco misses the shot to the body.
Blanco throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nelson.
Blanco throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blanco. Nelson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Nelson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Blanco was covering up waiting for the punch and Nelson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Blanco throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Nelson escapes and throws Blanco's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Nelson lands a big shot there that rocks Blanco but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
