The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xocoyotzin keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones tries to clinch up.
Xocoyotzin misses with a wild body shot.
Xocoyotzin blocks a jab.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Xocoyotzin's head back.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jones takes a knee right on the jaw!
Jones tries for a takedown but Xocoyotzin manages to get underhooks.
Jones has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Xocoyotzin after a bit of a struggle.
Xocoyotzin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Xocoyotzin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Motecuhzoma Xocoyotzin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Perrin Jones.

Xocoyotzin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jones is trying to defend but Xocoyotzin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Jones sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Xocoyotzin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Xocoyotzin eventually gives up the hold.

Jones makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jones.

Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Xocoyotzin is aware though and is defending well.
Xocoyotzin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jones tries to bench press Xocoyotzin off him but Xocoyotzin keeps the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Xocoyotzin has hold of Jones's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jones seems comfortable defending it but Xocoyotzin has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jones is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jones is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Xocoyotzin couldn't care less - he's delighted!
