The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua throws a head kick that misses.
No luck for Rua with that takedown attempt.
Dudley tries to close the distance and clinch but Rua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rua uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dudley.

Charles Rua's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Charles Rua's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
