Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Lua!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lua shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts a as he jumps to the side.
Lua swinging wilding here.
Lua will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dave Lua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
a changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lua looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The strikes coming from a are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
a is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lua knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
a wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lua, who protects the arm well.
a fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Lua trying to remain calm as a controls from the top position.
a is looking to take a break and control but Lua is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
What's Lua going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Lua is trying to improve his position.
Lua regains half guard.
Lua is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
a seems to be working for a kimura but Lua defends the submission attempt.
Lua wants to control but a is keeping busy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lua wants to improve his position but a is controlling well.
a is looking to pass Lua's guard but actually Lua recovers to full guard.
a tries to free his leg and advance position but Lua is retaining full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Lua lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
a shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. a showed some decent athleticism there.
a is breathing heavily.
a slows the pace down in half guard.

a wants to pass to mount but Lua is defending the position.
a is figuring out what he wants to do next.
a wants to control but Lua is keeping him busy.
a is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lua is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Lua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with a. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lua makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lua.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lua is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
a drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says a as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Lua screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with a! Nice submission victory there!
