Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bent Leikvold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Uzbaijzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Uzbaijzky there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Uzbaijzky shoots for a double leg takedown but Leikvold sprawls well. He's pushed Uzbaijzky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Uzbaijzky rushes Leikvold and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Uzbaijzky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Timur Uzbaijzky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Uzbaijzky has closed the distance and engaged Leikvold in a clinch.
Leikvold has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Uzbaijzky after a bit of a struggle.
Leikvold could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Uzbaijzky's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Leikvold tries to score a body lock takedown but Uzbaijzky shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Uzbaijzky pushes Leikvold off and scrambles back to his feet.

Leikvold shoots in but Uzbaijzky avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Uzbaijzky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Leikvold changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Uzbaijzky tries to avoid it but Leikvold manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Uzbaijzky to the ground. Uzbaijzky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Uzbaijzky misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Uzbaijzky connects with an inside leg kick.

It looks like Bent Leikvold has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That kick from Uzbaijzky tenderised Leikvold's leg. Leikvold is trying to keep his angry face on.

Uzbaijzky misses with the combination.
Leikvold shoots in but no luck this time.
Leikvold misses with a takedown
and Uzbaijzky counters with a three punch combo that has Leikvold backing up. Leikvold nods at Uzbaijzky to acknowledge the strikes.
Uzbaijzky dives in and grabs Leikvold's left leg, looking for a takedown. Leikvold pushes down on Uzbaijzky's head and hops out.

Leikvold has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Uzbaijzky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Uzbaijzky leaves Leikvold with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The cut man is working on Bent Leikvold's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Uzbaijzky swings for the body but Leikvold moves out of range.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Leikvold. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Timur Uzbaijzky was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Uzbaijzky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leikvold.

Leikvold drives through with a takedown into guard.
Leikvold forces his way into half guard.

Leikvold is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Leikvold is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Leikvold looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Leikvold has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Uzbaijzky defend it? Leikvold steps over the head and cranks it - Uzbaijzky is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Leikvold!
