Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tyson Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tristan Johnson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Griffin circles away.
Griffin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnson at a distance.
Johnson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Griffin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Griffin lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Griffin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Griffin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Griffin throws a big right hand that misses.
Griffin lands a couple of elbows.
Griffin works over Johnson with some ground and pound from guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Griffin advances to half guard.
Griffin throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely.
Johnson wants to sweep but Griffin has passed to side control!

Griffin is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Johnson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Griffin gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Johnson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Griffin lets go of the hold and Johnson can pop his arm back in it's socket.

tyson Griffin opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
