Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zack Skyshriek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Christ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skyshriek kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Moonlight Sonata. Christ has chosen Stephen Lynch - Craig as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ thuds a left hand into Skyshriek's body.
Christ works the jab nicely.
Skyshriek shoots in and bounces Christ off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Skyshriek wants to control from the top but Christ keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Christ thows a huge punch but Skyshriek dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Christ is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Zack Skyshriek will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Skyshriek moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Skyshriek misses the shot to the body.
Skyshriek throws a leg kick
and Christ counters with an inside leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Skyshriek crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Christ - the referee stops the clock and Skyshriek gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Christ. Skyshriek manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zack Skyshriek overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Christ's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
