Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Hastings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Cutting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Bill Cutting! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cutting keeps the fight on the outside. Cutting jabs at Hastings's body. Decent striking displayed by Cutting there. Cutting misses with a left hand and Hastings counters with a left and a right that stings Cutting. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hastings takes the fight into the clinch. Hastings manages to break the clinch.
Cutting lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hastings circles away quickly and effectively. Cutting moves into range and connects with a jab. Hastings tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cutting swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cutting scores with a body shot.

Cutting throws a series of punches but Hastings avoids them all with ease. Hastings really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hastings looking to score a takedown here. Cutting is defending well but Hastings drives through and ends up in Cutting's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Cutting has a closed guard, preventing Hastings from standing up. Hastings engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Hastings stops Cutting from standing up. Hastings wants to stand but Cutting is controlling his posture from full guard. The ref stands the fighters back up because Josh Hastings just wasn't active enough. Hastings tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cutting paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hastings showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cutting.
Cutting looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hastings tries to clinch but Cutting is having none of it. Cutting rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hastings moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cutting circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cutting stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cutting wants it to stay on the feet. Hastings closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hastings lands in his opponent's guard. Hastings trying to control but Cutting is working from the bottom.

Cutting can't keep his opponent in guard - Hastings advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hastings decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Cutting manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cutting lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cutting goes for a small jab and connects. Now Cutting goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Hastings stumbles back but Cutting runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Hastings to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Hastings will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
