Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 24 - 0, fighting out of London, John Ketchup! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ketchup has his takedown stuffed and Riley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Riley trying to control from half guard but Ketchup is working away. Riley is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Riley is pressing down on Ketchup's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ketchup is holding on for now. Riley missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ketchup is not content to let Riley control the position. Riley is trying to work for a kimura but Ketchup is defending well.
Riley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ketchup sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ketchup makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ketchup. Riley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ketchup is proving hard to escape from. Ketchup is trying to control the position but Riley postures up. Riley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ketchup is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ketchup has escaped and now he's on top! That's two minutes gone in the round. Ketchup controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ketchup decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Riley, up you get! Riley fails in his attempt to clinch. Riley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ketchup. Ketchup manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Riley on his heels. He'll look to pass Riley's guard now, I'm sure. Riley pulls Ketchup in close to prevent any damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Riley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ketchup stands and steps away. Riley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Riley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Riley lands a couple of elbows. Ketchup looking to control.
Riley is looking to advance position but Ketchup has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Ketchup can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Riley is looking to escape. Ketchup is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley tries to lock up and control but Ketchup gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ketchup wants to control but instead Riley manages to regain half guard. Ketchup is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Riley is looking for a sweep. Ketchup is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Riley is trying to stand.

Riley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Riley shoots in for a takedown but Ketchup shows good takedown defense. Ketchup fails with a takedown attempt. Ketchup drives through with a takedown into Riley's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Ketchup tries to free his leg and advance position but Riley is retaining full guard. Ketchup controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Riley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Billy Riley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ketchup postures up.

We're going to have a standup here because Billy Riley wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Riley moves in looking to clinch but Ketchup pushes him off. Riley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ketchup did well to prevent Riley getting side control. Riley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ketchup tries to roll over but Riley keeps him under control. Riley seems to be working for a kimura but Ketchup defends the submission attempt. Ketchup is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ketchup has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Riley is working away from the top position though. Riley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ketchup has managed to free his arm - good work. Riley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ketchup does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ketchup working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Riley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Riley passes easily into side control. Nice work. Riley swings around for an armbar but Ketchup sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Riley's guard. Ketchup stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Riley swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ketchup pushes down on Riley's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ketchup is breathing heavily. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ketchup lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ketchup trying to control the action but Riley is working from the bottom. Ketchup trying to pass the guard but Riley defending well. Riley is looking to improve his position.
Ketchup stops Riley from getting back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Riley works his way to full guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Billy Riley will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A slapping body kick lands there for Ketchup. Riley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ketchup as he avoids it easily. A nice inside leg kick there by Ketchup. That's going to slow Riley down. Riley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ketchup paws at him with a jab and circles away. Riley decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ketchup is staying active underneath Riley, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Riley seems to be looking for submissions.
Ketchup moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Riley stopping the sweep attempt from Ketchup. Ketchup takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Riley works over Ketchup with some ground and pound from guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Ketchup was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ketchup is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Riley. Riley walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ketchup. Ketchup shoots in looking for a takedown but Riley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ketchup's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley dives in and grabs Ketchup's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ketchup pushes down on Riley's head and hops out. Riley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ketchup's waist but Ketchup gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riley off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ketchup circles away. Ketchup misses the shot to the body. Ketchup displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Riley. Ketchup throws a right hand that Riley ducks under and follows up with a left that Riley also avoids with ease. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Riley. Ketchup tries to close the distance and clinch up but Riley swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ketchup stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ketchup wants it to stay on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ketchup is looking to clinch. Riley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. John Ketchup has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Billy Riley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ketchup tries to close the distance and clinch up but Riley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
