Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard works the jab nicely.
Machida gets a clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Howard - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Oh Machida is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Machida looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Howard presses Machida against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Machida jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Howard walks away with a smile on his face. Machida gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Howard moves into the clinch.
Machida is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Howard can't fight it off and eventually Machida manages to take the fight to the floor. Howard looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Machida closes the distance and clinches up with Howard, looking for a takedown. Machida pushes Howard against the ropes but Howard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Howard swings for the body but Machida moves out of range.

Howard struggles to land a body shot inside as Machida controls his hands.
Machida wants to get back to striking at distance but Howard won't allow it.

Machida shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Howard as he avoids it easily.
