Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kendall Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kendall Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roger Parker! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Alves throws a right hand that Parker ducks under and follows up with a left that Parker also avoids with ease. Alves swats away the attempt to clinch by Parker. Kendall Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parker cracks Alves with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Parker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Alves has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Alves and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Parker misses with an uppercut. Alves saw that one coming. Parker misses with a looping left. Parker takes one to the side of the head.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch but Alves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Alves on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Alves closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parker circles away. Alves blocks a head kick by Parker.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parker shoots in and bounces Alves off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Parker wants to control from the top but Alves keeps moving. Parker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Alves has his foot on Parker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parker works his way back into a safe position though. Parker is taking a break and basically stalling. That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves keeping full guard, as Parker tries to pass. Alves wants to sweep here but Parker controlling him for the moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parker wants to control from the top but Alves keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parker wants to pass the guard but Alves is keeping the position. Parker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker stopping the sweep attempt from Alves. Alves keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully. Parker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Roger Parker hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Parker ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Alves throws a combination. Parker tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Alves takes a swing at Parker's ribcage but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alves checks the leg kick nicely there.
Parker lands with a hook. Alves tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Parker's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Alves connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Parker scrambles back to his feet. Parker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alves stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Alves uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Parker. Alves lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Parker at a distance.
Parker connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alves. Alves circles away out of range and recomposes himself. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Alves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Parker moves away. That was a bit too telegraphed. Alves takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parker lands a right hook to the body.
Parker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Parker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alves. Parker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Alves's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Parker dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A right-left combo lands from Alves. Kendall Alves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A big right from Parker misses. Alves misses the jab. Roger Parker seems to be getting the better of the standup. A big left from Parker misses. A left and a right from Alves both land. Nice combination. Alves throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alves tries to keep at a distance but Parker has taken the fight into the clinch. Alves misses with a punch on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short body shot lands from Alves as the two fighters clinch.
Parker lands with a left to the head. Alves is trying to pull guard but Parker turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Parker creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Alves jumps guard but Parker stands there with Alves around his waist. Alves gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendall Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice left hand lands by Parker.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alves is pressed against the cage. Parker pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Alves! Two more big strikes from Parker and Alves crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
