Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ogami Itto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sancho Pancha! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Itto throws an overhand right that lands on Pancha's shoulder, as Pancha tries to avoid the shot. Itto ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pancha moves away. Pancha looks to land a combination. Itto sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Itto just misses with a punch to the body.
Pancha throws a nice looking combination but Itto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pancha swinging wildly here.
Ogami Itto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pancha tries to bum rush Itto with a series of wild strikes but Itto uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Some wild striking there from Itto.
Itto slips a jab and a cross from Pancha.
Pancha chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Itto can pounce on him.
Itto connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Pancha shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Itto scores with a leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Some wild striking there from Pancha.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pancha throws a right and a left that both miss. Pancha chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Itto can pounce on him.
Itto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pancha looks gassed! Itto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pancha is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Itto trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Itto advances position into side control! Pancha is not content to let Itto control the position. Pancha is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sloppy strikes there by Itto. Itto trying to control the position but Pancha is working away. Pancha is being controlled here. Itto in side control lands a decent elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pancha tries to buck Itto off but Itto is having none of it. Pancha is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Pancha is rocked! Itto working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pancha is still in real trouble! Can Itto finish him? Itto tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Itto scores with a couple of short elbows. Itto controls the position. Itto looks up at the clock and then as Pancha takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Itto smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Itto lands a strong strike to the head of Pancha. That's dazed him! Itto looking to finish here. Pancha is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Itto lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ogami Itto! Ogami Itto retains his welterweight title! Ogami Itto gave a mention to Adrenaline in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
