Shannigan has chosen Slaughtered as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tommy Shannigan enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannigan connects with a single shot there.


It looks like Major Johnson has been cut.
Shannigan lands a jab to the nose.

Shannigan clobbers Johnson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Shannigan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shannigan manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Shannigan's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Shannigan holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shannigan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A lazy left from Shannigan finds it's target.
Johnson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shannigan.
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shannigan is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Shannigan circles away and we're back to standing.
Shannigan stuffs the takedown.
Major Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Johnson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Major Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shannigan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Johnson's hands.
Johnson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Shannigan looks to land a combination. Johnson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shannigan lands a brutal uppercut that launches Johnson off his feet! Johnson tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tommy Shannigan!
