The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanakila stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lanakila wants it to stay on the feet.
Kroton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kroton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kroton digs a good body shot into Lanakila's ribs.
Kroton throws a sloppy head kick and Lanakila moves out of range easily.
Lanakila ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lanakila misses with a wild body shot.
Kroton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lanakila.

and Lanakila counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kroton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kroton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kroton wants to sweep but no luck.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kroton is looking to sweep but instead, Lanakila has passed into half guard.
Lanakila wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kroton keeps working.

Lanakila seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kroton has hold of Lanakila's hands but Lanakila slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lanakila throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Kroton wants to control but Lanakila is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lanakila thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kroton's head.

Kroton might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lanakila kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Lanakila looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kroton tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Lanakila has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lanakila has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kroton's face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lanakila in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Lanakila prevents Kroton from getting the reversal.

Lanakila fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kroton is rocked!
Lanakila has hold of Kroton's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kroton manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kroton is still in real trouble! Can Lanakila finish him?
Lanakila postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Kroton in real trouble here! The ref calls for Kroton to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ionakana Lanakila!
