Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Pineda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pineda scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Pineda moves nicely into side control.
Pineda decides to stand back up.
Akiyama clinches with his opponent.
Pineda decides to pull guard.
Akiyama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pineda swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pineda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Akiyama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pineda wants to sweep here but Akiyama controlling him for the moment.

Pineda postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Akiyama looks a forlorn figure.

Pineda fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Akiyama checks it well.

Pineda is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Akiyama looking for a guillotine here but Pineda defends easily.
Akiyama is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pineda rolls with it to try and escape but Akiyama cranks on the arm and Pineda is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
