Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Pineda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Pineda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshihiro Akiyama! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pineda scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Pineda moves nicely into side control. Pineda decides to stand back up. Akiyama clinches with his opponent.
Pineda decides to pull guard. Akiyama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pineda swivels though and keeps the full guard. Akiyama being controlled here momentarily. Pineda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Akiyama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pineda wants to sweep here but Akiyama controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akiyama wants to pass the guard but Pineda is keeping the position. Akiyama trying to control but Pineda is working from the bottom. Akiyama is looking to advance position but Pineda has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Akiyama tries to hold on but Pineda postures up. Pineda controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akiyama keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pineda controlling the position easily from mount. Pineda working the ground and pound effectively.
Pineda with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Pineda really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pineda lands a big elbow. Pineda avoids the attempt from Akiyama to control. Pineda raining down hammerfists from mount. Pineda landing shots from mount. Akiyama taking shots to the head. Akiyama tries to lock up and control but Pineda gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pineda with a couple of short strikes. Pineda tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Pineda will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pineda postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Akiyama looks a forlorn figure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akiyama wants to control but Pineda is having none of it. Akiyama is working to get back to half guard.
Akiyama looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! Pineda controlling his opponent. Pineda working away from the top, dropping strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pineda tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Pineda dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pineda fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Akiyama checks it well. Pineda drives through with a takedown into guard. Pineda is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Akiyama looking for a guillotine here but Pineda defends easily.
Akiyama is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pineda rolls with it to try and escape but Akiyama cranks on the arm and Pineda is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
