Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruiner Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barton comes to the cage accompanied by 126 que. Barnett has chosen canceled forever 125 as his entrance music. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ruiner Barnett!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Barton counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Barnett tries to bum rush Barton with a series of wild strikes but Barton uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

You get the feeling that Barnett really doesn't like being in this position too much.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Barton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barnett controls Barton momentarily but Barton frees himself.
Barton distracts Barnett with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Barnett is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barton is controlling him.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Barton's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Barnett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barton avoids the body shot from Barnett.

Barton fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Barnett looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Barton tries to land a front kick but Barnett steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Barnett throws a lazy uppercut
and Barton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Barnett throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Barnett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barton manages to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Barton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Barnett.
Ruiner Barnett has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Barton throws a head kick but Barnett moves out of range.
Barton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Barton there as he acknowledges the shot.

Barton closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Barnett's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Barnett doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Barton showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jack Barton spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
