Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hippity Hop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Willis William!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
William misses with a jab, cross combination.
William lands a high kick!
It looks like Hippity Hop has been cut.
Hop misses with a two punch combination.
William swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hop walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
William digs a good hook to Hop's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hop chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before William can pounce on him.
Hop throws an ugly left hook that misses
and William counters with a head kick that drops Hop to the mat! Hop scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
William lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
A slow jab from Hop misses its intended target.
Hippity Hop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
William uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hop.
William swings for the body but Hop moves out of range.
William connects with a leg kick. Hop looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Hop is breathing heavily.
William feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hop sprawling to the canvas! Hop rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can William finish him?!
Hop is rocked!
Hippity Hop's cut is getting worse.
William gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Oh Hop is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
William manages to break the clinch.
William knocks out Hop with a massive right hand! The ref tackles William before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. William picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Willis William!
