The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida misses with a low kick.
Machida uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aldo.
Machida wants to clinch up but Aldo keeps it at a distance.
Aldo checks a leg kick.
Dameon Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Aldo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Machida delivers a nice body kick.
Aldo takes a kick to the side of the head.
Aldo takes a swing at Machida's ribcage but misses.
Aldo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Machida scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A chopping leg kick lands by Machida.
Aldo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Machida throws a chopping leg kick but Aldo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Machida takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Aldo moves out of range of the strikes.

Machida doesn't manage to clinch there - Aldo circles away.
Aldo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

enabling Aldo to counter with a crisp jab.
Machida cracks the inside of Aldo's front leg.
Machida fails with an attempt to clinch.
Machida lands with a hook. Aldo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Aldo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Machida misses with the combination.
Machida throws a half hearted mid kick.
Machida scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Machida on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machida moves out of range of the strikes.
Aldo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Machida moves away.
Nice uppercut there from Aldo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aldo throws a body punch but Machida moves out of range.
Aldo misses with the combination.
Machida lands with a thumping leg kick.
Machida takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Machida is rocked!
Machida tries to get into range but Aldo steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Machida! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Aldo scores the big KO victory!
