Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Augostino Peitexeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston as his entrance music. Peitexeira is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Frank Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Peitexeira is breathing heavily.
Peitexeira moves into range and clinches up with Silva.
Peitexeira misses with a hook to the ribs.
Silva drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Peitexeira gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Peitexeira swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Silva using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Peitexeira has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Peitexeira presses Silva against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Peitexeira working some nice short punches in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Peitexeira.
Peitexeira fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Peitexeira lands a left hand that snaps the head of Silva backwards.
Silva takes a shot to the head.
Peitexeira misses with some punches.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Silva has eaten all the pies!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva pulls guard successfully.
Peitexeira is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Silva holds on and takes a little breather.
Silva wants to sweep but no luck.
Peitexeira trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Augostino Peitexeira has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Peitexeira's waist but Peitexeira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Augostino Peitexeira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Silva.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peitexeira as he avoids it easily.

Silva on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Peitexeira, as that shot connected.
A head kick misses from Silva.
Peitexeira closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Peitexeira.
Silva gets control of Peitexeira's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Silva wants to sweep here but Peitexeira controlling him for the moment.
Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Silva seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Silva trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Silva has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva gets the takedown into side control.

Silva staying calm.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Peitexeira defending against the ground and pound.

A close round but Frank Silva will probably get the nod.

Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peitexeira but Peitexeira pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Peitexeira swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Peitexeira throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Peitexeira!
Silva is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Peitexeira is forced to tap! Great finish!
