Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mauricio Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricardo Aguiar!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aguiar circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva lands a nice hook to Aguiar's body. Aguiar takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Aguiar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aguiar somewhat.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva looks to land a combination but Aguiar avoids it well.
Aguiar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Aguiar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Aguiar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Aguiar with shots to the head and body - Silva looks very uncomfortable down there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Poor strikes thrown by Aguiar there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aguiar wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.

Aguiar has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aguiar on the ground.
Silva avoids a series of strikes thrown by Aguiar.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Aguiar quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Aguiar but it's paid off an Silva is forced to tap! Nice work by Aguiar.
