Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Forte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Zeppar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeppar tries for a takedown but Forte sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Zeppar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Forte.
Zeppar moves into the clinch.
Zeppar is looking for a takedown.
Zeppar lands an elbow just above Forte 's eye.
It looks like Nate Forte has been cut.
Zeppar wants to take the fight to the mat but Forte manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nate Forte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Zeppar.
Zeppar unloads a knee to the mid-section. Forte lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Forte is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Zeppar pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Zeppar stalks Forte and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Forte's face. Forte staggers backwards, shaken.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Zeppar obliges.

Zeppar lands a nice elbow.
Zeppar manages to break the clinch.
Zeppar shoots for a takedown but Forte saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Forte drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Forte works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Zeppar is pressing down on Forte's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Zeppar is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Zeppar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Forte swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Zeppar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Forte. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Forte wants to stand up but Zeppar is controlling him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Forte looking for a guillotine here but Zeppar defends easily.

Zeppar tries to stand and escape but Forte actually recovers to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zeppar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
