Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Herbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Hannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hannigan fails with a takedown attempt.
Herbert fails with an attempt to clinch.
Herbert is looking to clinch but Hannigan is avoiding it.

Herbert shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hannigan's guard.
Herbert tries to free his leg and advance position but Hannigan is retaining full guard.

Hannigan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Herbert uses it to pass to side control.

Herbert wants to take a breather but Hannigan is having none of it.

and Herbert counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hannigan's guard now.
Herbert is in close to Hannigan's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Herbert is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Herbert knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hannigan on the ground.
Hannigan is looking to stand up but Herbert isn't so interested in that idea.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Herbert wants to clinch
and Hannigan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nice body kick there by Hannigan.
Herbert takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hannigan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Hannigan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Herbert's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hannigan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
