The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usavich shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Usavich showed some decent athleticism there.
Machida pushes Usavich off looking to stand but Usavich dives back in and keeps control.

Usavich postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Machida in real trouble here! The ref calls for Machida to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
