Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hot Dog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Athena Winner! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winner tries to close the distance and clinch but Dog swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dog pushes Winner up against the cage in a clinch. Dog is trying to push Winner away but Winner has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Dog stalling in the clinch but Winner improves position. Dog is trying to break the clinch but Winner has him pressed against the cage. Dog tries to land a knee to the head but Winner blocks with his arms.
Dog has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Dog could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Dog tries to break the clinch but Winner is controlling the position. Dog trying to control the position but instead, Winner has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dog into the cage. Dog has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Dog fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Winner, pushing him back against the cage. Winner keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dog's efforts to push away. Dog letting Winner take a breather here. Winner receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Dog is trying to break the clinch but Winner is controlling him. Dog tries to break the clinch but Winner is controlling the position. Winner dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Athena Winner. Winner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dog swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dog is trying to force a seperation but Winner has the dominant position. Dog wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Winner has him pressed against the cage. Winner stalling the fight.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Winner as Dog tries to tie him up. Dog is trying to break the clinch but Winner is controlling him.

Dog moves into the clinch. Winner is pushing Dog up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Dog tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Winner avoids it. Hot Dog has scored more points in the clinch so far. Dog stalling in the clinch but Winner improves position. Dog wants to break the clinch but can't.
Winner pressing his opponent against the cage. Winner continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Athena Winner. Dog rushes Winner and presses him up against the cage. The referee calls for Winner to work.
Dog is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Winner is keeping busy. Dog wants to get back to striking at distance but Winner won't allow it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Winner takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

A frustrated look appears on Dog's face as he tries to break the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Winner. Dog misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Winner.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hot Dog. Well Dog has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
