Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and marcus marz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, marcus marz!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob throws a nice looking combination but marz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bob looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bob throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Decent striking displayed by Bob there.

marz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
marz works his way into full mount!
marz controlling from the full mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
marz is landing with some decent strikes but Bob is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Bob is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
marz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

marz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bob can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
marz scoring with strikes but Bob is staying in there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
marz trying to control but he's not successful this time.
marz controlling the pace for now.
Bob regains half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
marz sitting and controlling from the half guard.

marz decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Bob shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and marz counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bob is lucky that one didn't land flush.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bob shoots and misses

and marz counters by moving into the clinch.
Bob tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. marz smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.
marz blocks a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

marcus marz dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



marz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
marz is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Bob tries to get to full guard but marz has control of the leg.
marz controlling the action here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
marz working the head and body with strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bob is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

marz decides to return to a standing position.
Bob misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bob throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and marz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bob's guard.
marz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
marz trying to control but Bob is working from the bottom.
marz stands and throws Bob's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bob gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, marz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
marz is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Bob is in real trouble.
marz is trying to stick to Bob's back but Bob is turning into marz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in marz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bob.

marz working for a triangle but Bob defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
marz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bob wants to pass the guard but marz is keeping the position.
Bob wants to control from the top but marz keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

marcus marz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


marz ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bob has his takedown stuffed

and marz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bob!
Bob is squirming around, avoiding marz's attempts to control the action.
Bob tries to hold on but marz pushes him away.
marcus marz has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
marz controlling his opponent.

marz is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Bob wants to clinch

and marz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by marz.
marz lands a knee to the body.
Bob fails to pull the fight into his guard.
marz lands a body punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

marz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bob gets caught flat footed, as marz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bob manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. marz manages to get himself to full guard.

marz pushes Bob off and scrambles back to his feet.
marz pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bob getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
A big right from Bob misses.

and marz counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.

marz turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and marz manages to end up in side control.
Bob tries to get back to half guard but can't.

marz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bob, who protects the arm well.
marz is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bob will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
marz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

marz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bob to his feet.
Bob with a poor takedown

and marz counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
marz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Joe Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
marcus marz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well marz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
