The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Outlaw misses.
Van Clam rushes Outlaw and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Van Clam pulls guard successfully.
Van Clam trying to control the position.
Van Clam has a closed guard, preventing Outlaw from standing up.
Outlaw has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Clam has his foot on Outlaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Outlaw works his way back into a safe position though.

Outlaw wants to stand but Van Clam is controlling his posture from full guard.
Van Clam looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Outlaw puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Outlaw wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Outlaw throws a nice looking combination but Van Clam bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No luck for Van Clam with that takedown attempt.
Van Clam doesn't manage to clinch there - Outlaw circles away.
Jab, jab by Outlaw - just one landing.
It looks like Rich Van Clam has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Outlaw thuds his right hand into Van Clam's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Van Clam is rocked!
Van Clam looks up at the clock. Bad move! Outlaw lands a right hand from hell, dropping Van Clam. Outlaw pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
