The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Awesome is defended easily by Hatton.
Awesome really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hatton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Awesome circles away.
Awesome will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Awesome fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hatton.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny Awesome.
