Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Cabrillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Negru Voda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voda has chosen ROA - Sonata in La Minor as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Cabrillo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Negru Voda!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Voda, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cabrillo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Voda.
Cabrillo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Voda misses with a body shot.
Voda swings for the body but Cabrillo moves out of range.
Voda tests Cabrillo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cabrillo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Voda just misses with a punch to the body.
Cabrillo avoids the body shot from Voda.
Cabrillo tries to work over Voda's front leg with a kick but Voda checks it.
Voda connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cabrillo momentarily.
Cabrillo misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cabrillo moves into range and clinches up with Voda.
Cabrillo lands with a left to the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Cabrillo avoiding damage.
Cabrillo lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Cabrillo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cabrillo manages to end up in side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Cabrillo cracks Voda with a big elbow.
Cabrillo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Voda some visible discomfort.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cabrillo working the ground and pound but Voda is defending the strikes.
Cabrillo throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Voda takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Cabrillo lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Voda down.
Voda is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cabrillo working the head and body with strikes.
Voda is still in real trouble! Can Cabrillo finish him?
Cabrillo lands a big left to the face of Voda, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Cabrillo and another - Voda is out! Cabrillo stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Juan Cabrillo!
