Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad The Third Tepes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tepes has chosen Slayer - Here comes the pain as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rob Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vlad The Third Tepes! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown tries to bum rush Tepes with a series of wild strikes but Tepes uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tepes lands a nice shot to the body.
Brown gets a clinch. Tepes stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Tepes tries a knee to the head but Brown blocks it.
Tepes gets through Brown's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tepes takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Tepes tries to land a knee to the head but Brown blocks with his arms.

A frustrated look appears on Brown's face as he tries to break the clinch. Tepes tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Brown avoids a wild elbow strike from Tepes. Tepes scores with a nice hook to the head. Brown is trying to break the clinch but Tepes is controlling him. Brown managing to block the knees to the body from Tepes.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tepes misses with a knee to the head. Tepes jumps guard and drags Brown to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Tepes keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass. Brown missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Tepes controlling the position. Brown loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brown is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tepes can do anything to dispel that myth. Brown passes Tepes's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brown moves into full mount! Tepes won't be happy about that! Tepes tries to hold on but Brown pushes him away. Brown throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tepes because Brown loaded up on that one. BOOM! Brown connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown punishing his opponent with strikes. Tepes holds on for dear life, controlling Brown's posture momentarily. Brown working for a submission but Tepes is keeping him at bay. Brown lands a big shot there that rocks Tepes but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Brown raining down shots from the mount! Tepes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brown looking to finish Tepes with some ground and pound. This is bad for Tepes! Tepes tries to hold on but Brown pushes him away. Brown fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Brown lands a heavy elbow.
Tepes is rocked! Brown raining down shots from the mount! Tepes is still in real trouble! Can Brown finish him? Brown jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tepes is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tepes and Brown has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Tepes gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Tepes is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tepes seems to have recovered his senses. Tepes tries to hold on but Brown pushes him away. Brown sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Tepes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Brown working Tepes over with strikes here. Tepes is in all sorts of trouble here.
Brown thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Brown with a couple of short strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Brown dominated that round. That's time! Brown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Tepes jabs Brown right on the nose. Brown blinks but takes it well. Tepes stuns Brown with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A head kick misses from Brown. Brown drives through and clinches with Tepes against the cage.
Brown looking to slow down the pace here. Tepes's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Brown is trying to break free. Tepes utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Brown has had enough of the clinch but Tepes keeps him there for the moment. A frustrated look appears on Brown's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Tepes lands a nice shot to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tepes throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Brown blocks it with crossed arms. Tepes is struggling to control the position. Tepes tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Tepes gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Tepes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tepes controlling from the top position. Let's hope that Tepes has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tepes postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Tepes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brown is keeping the position for now. Tepes postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tepes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tepes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tepes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tepes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Tepes trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rob Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brown utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tepes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tepes is pushing down on Brown's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brown is fighting to maintain full guard but Tepes has managed to sneak the leg through. Tepes is trying to control the action in half guard but Brown is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tepes looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tepes with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tepes throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vlad The Third Tepes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Tepes misses the shot to the body. Brown misses with a looping right. Brown tries to sprawl but Tepes drives through with a takedown into half guard. Tepes moves into full mount! Brown won't be happy about that! Tepes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tepes trying to control but Brown is having none of it. Tepes lands with some strikes.

Tepes trying to control but he's not successful this time. Tepes goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Brown turns into him and now he's in Tepes's guard.
Brown won't allow Tepes to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tepes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brown! This has been an exciting period of action! Tepes with a couple of short strikes. Brown is looking to improve his position but Tepes isn't that keen on the idea. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tepes looking to control but Brown is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Vlad The Third Tepes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tepes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
