The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean clinches.
Dean comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Marcos Cavalcante Ribeiro has been cut.
Dean avoids the elbow strike from Cavalcante Ribeiro, against the cage.
Cavalcante Ribeiro misses with an elbow strike.
Dean manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Cavalcante Ribeiro lands an elbow inside.

Cavalcante Ribeiro jumps guard but Dean turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Dean stalls.
Cavalcante Ribeiro using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dean has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Cavalcante Ribeiro drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cavalcante Ribeiro is looking to sinch up a triangle. Dean throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Cavalcante Ribeiro's body to avoid the submission. Cavalcante Ribeiro has instead reached around Dean's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Cavalcante Ribeiro arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Marcos Cavalcante Ribeiro!
Marcos Cavalcante Ribeiro gave a mention to Snap Crackle Pop Fight Gear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
